Atlanta Track Club showcased its high degree of consistency in the middle distances to the track world in New York at Icahn Stadium. Nine elite athletes flew to New York, NY, to participate in the Trials of Miles Track Night NYC on May 20, 2022. The following day two elite sprinters traveled to Jacksonville, FL, on May 21, 2022, to compete in American Track League's Duval County Challenge. Despite the harsh rain and multiple lightning delays at both meets, the elite athletes competed well.

To start the night off, Abe Alvarado and Daniel Nixon toed the line for the men's 800m. In his second 800m of the outdoor season, Alvarado had a strong close to give him a 5th place finish with a 1:47.82, while Nixon finished 7th with a 1:48.75. In the earlier heat Abbas Abbkar finished 2nd with a 1:49.75. Both Alvarado and Abbkar walked away with a season's best time.

The women's squad added another sub-2:00 800m runner to the record books, continuing their early season momentum. Olivia Baker ran a 1:59.90 for a 2nd place finish in the women's 800m to break the two-minute barrier for the first time in her career. In the same race Sadi Henderson had a strong last 100m to push her to a 4th place finish with arguably the most even time ever 2:00.00. In the heat prior, Gemma Finch raced to a 5th place finish with a 2:04.32. Yolanda Ngarambe competed in the women's 1500m and pushed the pace early, and as a result, the Mexican 1500m record was broke by the race winner. Ngarambe finished 4th with a 4:07.86.

At the Duval County Challenge, Samson Colebrooke competed in the 100m finishing 2nd in his prelim heat with a 10.53. Akeem Sirleaf received an unlucky DQ in his 100m heat but swiftly recovered to finish 3rd in the 200m in 21.07.

Closing out the weekend was marathoner Bridget Belyeu finishing 2nd in the Brooklyn Half Marathon with a 1:13.41. Running through a heat advisory caution with hot temperatures and high humidity, Belyeu finished 2nd overall out of 8,740 female competitors, averaging roughly 5:38 per mile (all genders included).
