Top 10 Notable Performances for Atlanta Track Club Elite in 2025 (So Far)

Over the past nine months, Atlanta Track Club Elite athletes have logged thousands of miles—grinding through workouts, chasing fast times and traveling across the world to compete. Along the way, the team has celebrated breakthrough performances, new milestones and seasons that showcased both collective strength and individual triumphs.

As we look ahead to the fall training and winter indoor season that will quickly feed into 2026 competitions, let's look back at what's been accomplished this year from the indoor and outdoor seasons.

10. 80% of the Team Sets a New Personal Best Across Various Distances

So far this year, about 80% of Atlanta Track Club Elite athletes set new personal bests during both the indoor and outdoor seasons, underscoring the team's impressive range across distances. These achievements reflect not only their ability to compete against the best on the track or road, but also their commitment to continually challenging themselves first. With each race, the athletes push their own limits, fueling a culture of growth and setting the stage for even greater performances ahead.

9. Laurie Barton Places Second at B.A.A. Mile

On April 19, Laurie Barton joined an established field of athletes to kick off Boston Marathon Weekend in the B.A.A. Mile and claimed second. This position set her as the top American in the field, finishing only a second behind Kenya's Dorcas Ewoi.

8. Olivia Baker Sets Club Record in Indoor Women's 800m

Now in her fourth year on the Atlanta Track Club Elite team, Olivia Baker is still rewriting the record books in the 800m. At the Millrose Games this past February, she came in second overall in the indoor 800m, setting a new Club Record and indoor personal best with a 2:00.02.

7. Luciano Fiore Sets Club Record for Indoor Men's 600m

The Club Records were meant to be broken this season, and Luciano Fiore was specifically after the men's indoor 600m time. At the Millrose Games this past February - one of the most anticipated and prestigious meets of the indoor season - Fiore claimed the indoor 600m Club Record in 1:16.37.

6. Sean Dolan Sets New Club Record in the Outdoor Men's 800m

The long-time men's outdoor 800m Atlanta Track Club Elite record, previously set by Brandon Lasater in 2018, was broken by Sean Dolan on August 20 at the Pfungstadter Evening Sports Festival in Germany, with a time of 1:45.67.

5. Luke Houser Raises the Bar in Indoor and Outdoor 1500m, Indoor Mile for the Club

Although Luke Houser is still in his first year on the Atlanta Track Club Elite team, he was quick to raise the bar, setting new Club Records in the indoor and outdoor 1500m, as well as the indoor mile. While competing at the World Indoor Championships this past spring, not only did he earn a bronze medal, but he beat his previous Club Record in the indoor 1500m in the process with a 3:39.17. A few months later, he broke the outdoor record at the Stockholm Diamond League, setting the new Club Record as 3:33.99. But the 1500m wasn't the only distance he thrived in this year—he also claimed the Club Record in the indoor mile, running a 3:51.14 at Boston University in March.

4. Lucky Number Seven: All Atlanta Track Club Elite Athletes Advance at USATF Outdoor National Championships

This past July, seven members of the Elite Team traveled to the esteemed Eugene, Oregon to compete in the USATF Outdoor National Championships, where some of the top athletes in the nation competed for a spot on Team USA for the 2025 World Athletics Championship in Tokyo.

Over the four days of competition, Luke Houser, Sean Dolan, Luciano Fiore, Shane Streich, Laurie Barton, Rachel Gearing and Olivia Baker competed in the men's and women's 1500m and 800m distances. Despite the intense competition, all seven athletes advanced past the first round of their respective distances, a feat never achieved by the team before.

3. Laurie Barton Places Sixth in USATF Outdoor National Championships Final

While all seven Elites advanced at the USATF Outdoor National Championships this year, Laurie Barton took her performance all the way to the women's 1500m finals. The dramatic race featured the top 1500m athletes in the nation, and Barton ultimately placed sixth with a time of 4:06.38.

Prior to this race, she experienced another career highlight by setting a new PR of 4:03.46 - just 0.03 seconds off the Club Record - at the Ed Murphy Classic.

2. Camille Laus Wins Belgian National Title in Women's 800m

What's better than setting a new PB in the women's 800m and breaking 2:00? How about becoming the new Belgian National Champion while in your home country? Camille Laus experienced that euphoria at the Belgian Outdoor National Championships this August.

Laus ran a 1:59.96 on August 3 at Belgium's National Championship event, which was a PB at the time. Just five days later, she broke her personal record again with a 1:59.50 in Slovakia.

Most recently, Laus represented her country and the Atlanta Track Club Elite team in Tokyo at the World Outdoor Championships, placing fourth in the women's 4x400m (3:22.91).

1. Luke Houser Wins Bronze Medal at World Indoor Championships

This March, Luke Houser, a standout 1500m who first joined the team in fall 2024, travelled to Nanjing, China to compete in the World Athletics Championships. Joining him was teammate Rob Heppenstall, who competed in the men's 800m representing Canada.

The result? Houser brought a World Indoor Championship bronze medal back to Atlanta after his tactical racing skills against world-class athletes like Norweigan Jakob Ingebritsen and Great Britain's Neil Gourley earned him a spot on the podium, running a 3:39.17
